[Awclist] kids kayaks - UPDATE

Not long ago, I sent out an email asking if there were any kids kayaks for sale or for donation as a Christmas gift to a young family who's father recently passed away. 
 
There were a number of responses, including kids & small adult kayaks for sale, a donated PFD, offers to donate ski equipment, rock climbing equipment, and others without kids equipment suggested "passing the hat" to raise a little money. 
 
The used kayaks for sale, while appreciated, were still more than I can buy them new at wholesale. As such, I've asked Jackson Kayak if they would be willing to sell two kids kayaks at wholesale for this cause. They came back to me, and offered to sell two for the price of one....at wholesale. Essentially, these two boats + shipping would be ~$2000, but I'm getting both shipped to ABQ for $600. 
 
I've emailed each person who initially expressed interest in helping this family, and have received a total of $150 in donations, as well as a kids PFD. I realize there are likely many others who would like to help, but did not reply because they didn't have a kids kayak. If you are one, please send me a brief email, with the amount you would like to contribute.  
 
Should we receive more than the needed $600, then the balance will be used to aquire paddles, skirts, helmets, and another PFD.
