Hi Everyone,
I've received quite a few inquiries about the Verde River "CANOE" Challenge, and wanted to clarify - it's not just a canoe race. There are a number of classes, including C1, C2, K1M, K1W and others.....so it's not limited to canoes.
I'm pretty excited about this, because it offers something for everyone, including Inflatable Kayaks, Sit on Top, open decked boats, canoes & kayaks.
Flows have ranged from 140 - 550cfs....and apparently is still runable even at low flows. Much more information is available at the link below.

Let me know if you're interested in going and we'll organize something unofficially to carpool, etc. There appear to be registration deadlines, about 2 weeks in advance, so please consider it now, and let me know if you'd like to attend.
Cheers,
Kelly

Anyone interested in doing this? Mar. 28, between Flagstaff & Phoenix.
I think it would be awesome to:
1) paddle a new river!
2) network with the AZ folks and
3) find out how they organize their races, deal with plaguing insurance issues, etc.

If that doesn't work, go to www.active.com and search for "Verde River Canoe Challenge"
