Hi Mary,
Thanks for all of your efforts to keep is informed of upcoming
releases. I, and many others appreciate it. I know some friends from
Tucson, that were debating about what to do over Labor Day weekend, and
your high flow announcement made the difference for them. As I recall,
it was fairly low early in the week, and they were thinking it was too
low to drive that far.
About ten years ago I was at a Bureau meeting on the Chama flows, and we
asked for some advance notice about upcoming releases and their answer
was no. They said that they informed the BLM. I asked Mark Sundin with
the BLM about it and he said they they generally didn't know until they
saw the flows on the gauge.
In summary, it's a joy to have you and the relatively new director at
the Bureau here in Albuquerque.
I really appreciate all you've done for us this year.
