[Awclist] Last weekend's Jr Clinic and Up Comming events

Hello AWC Membership,

 

I just wanted to give everyone a report on this last weekend's JR.
Clinic and some upcoming events/classes you may be interested in. 

 

The Jr. Clinic:

After a few Club Clinics with less than stellar participant numbers, the
2012 Jr. Clinic was a refreshing change of pace and an overwhelming
success. Nearly 40 Students in 4 categories came out to participate
along with 11 ACA certified Instructors and several assistants. This
diverse group made for a weekend of excitement that personally left me
buzzing. The Potluck was also a blast, even more folks were present for
that, chatting about paddling, the club and everything else. Every kid
at the Potluck walked away with a  Giveaway Prize and as always the food
was amazing. Even the sideways rain and strong wind did not stifle the
fun. On Sunday several groups took fun paddles down different sections
of the river and enjoyed each other's company and expertise. We look
forward to seeing everyone at the 2013 Clinics.

 

Big Hats off to Dallas Hill for setting up the Clinic, to Mary Scofield
for getting together all the event prizes and to all the participants,
volunteers, parents and assistants for making this event such a
success.

September 7-9, 15-16: ACA WW Kayak IDW/ICE Level I-III, with SJC OLER-
Lead instructor Kent Ford
