Some of you may be interested in this info. The document they have come
up with is long but seems like it will read easily.
I just received this today and in the interest of time am forwarding it
on to you as well since they want responses by the 17th june!
I have not been to recent meetings so perhaps the minutes of those may
be useful too.
I will be responding to the draft.
thanks to those of you who might be able to read this and respond - in
put from all is welcome.

Dear Middle Rio Grande Stakeholder

As a stakeholder and/or interested party in Secretary Salazar's Middle
Rio Grande Conservation Initiative, you are invited to review and
provide input on the SecretaryÂ’s Committee draft report.

The draft report can be found and downloaded at: www.middleriogrande.com
<http://www.middleriogrande.com> (click on the “Secretary’s
Committee” icon on the left of the page; then look for MRG Secretary's
Committee Report draft 06/12/12). The draft report includes the
recommendations that were previously posted for public comment. The
current version of the draft report and recommendations have been
informed by this previous public input.

Written comments may be sent to: *middleriograndeplan at gmail.com
<mailto:middleriograndeplan at gmail.com>**.*** Comments on the draft
report will be accepted through *June 17, 2012.*

Comments on the draft report would be most useful if they answered the
following questions about the draft report:

§ What (e.g. section, statement) needs to change?

§ What is the reason for the proposed change?

§ What is the significance of the proposed change? (e.g. is it essential?)

§ What is the suggested resolution to the comment?

Please focus on content, not layout and basic formatting, grammar, and
similar matters; there are a number of technical editing and "clean-up"
tasks that still remain. All widow words and orphan lines will be
adjusted later. All photographs will have captions/credits in final
version and some images will be changed/added so that photographs in the
report capture the full range of conservation (natural and cultural
resources), recreation, and education themes in the Middle Rio Grande
Valley.

Thank you for your participation and interest in the Middle Rio Grande
Conservation Initiative!

Sincerely,

Secretary's Committee for the Middle Rio Grande Conservation Initiative
