The Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers would like to
invite the public to their annual meeting to explain plans for water
operations along the Middle Rio Grande in 2013. There is a below average
snowpack in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico and a low and early
runoff is expected. The presentation will cover the process for determining
the plan for water operations. It will include a review of the 2012 water
predictions, what actually happened, storage and release. The presenters
will then explain the 2013 water forecast, potential for storage and
release and impacts to water-related recreation.
