Adobe Whitewater Club meets*** each 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 pm at
the New Townhouse Restaurant in ABQ located at 9018 Central Ave SE,
Albuquerque, NM -  505 255-0057  Thanks to Frank Argyres for hosting the
regular 2nd Tuesday monthly AWC meetings!

You do not need to be a member to attend so bring a friend, come early for

Tuesday March 11, 2014 Sea Kayaking, Kayak Sailing, and SUPing in Belize!
at 6:30 at the New Townhouse Restaurant  presented by Christine Mollo,
current Organizer in the Greater Albuquerque/Santa Fe Kayak Community
Meet-Up, President of the Adobe Whitewater Club and volunteer for Kayak New
Mexico 501(c)3 will share her adventures about recent sea kayaking, kayak
sailing, and SUPing experiences in Belize with a combination of video,
pictures, and presentation.
Topics: Visuals of an amazing experience in Belize, how to prepare for an
international sea kayaking trip, safety considerations when island hopping,
gear to bring/ leave behind, snorkeling and fishing in-between islands, how
to sail a kayak (yes SAIL a KAYAK) from island to island, and a fun
introduction to the geography and culture of Belize including delicious easy
recipes.

 

*** A BIG Thank you to all who went up to The Roundhouse in Santa Fe in
opposition of the Gila River Diversion supporting Sen. Wirth's SB89. 

There were over 100 people there from various organizations and a good
showing from AWC!  The bill was defeated but the ISC took note of Norm
Gaumes points for future consideration...what is next..we will keep you
