Adobe Whitewater Club Members,

Happy 2016! We hope you had a great holiday season and are gearing up for an
exciting boating season. The Adobe Whitewater Club of New Mexico had a
wonderful 2015 and this year is further building on the enthusiasm of our
members.

Some highlights:

- Monthly presentations - We will continue to take you on exciting paddling
journeys each month through presentations by our members and special
visitors. Our programs are already fully booked through January 2017! This
year, we will explore rivers in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Chile, Canada, and
other exciting locations. We'll have entertaining stories of rafting,
SUPing, and kayaking with dogs, and touching stories of the impact adaptive
paddling has had locally and how you can get involved.

- Pool sessions - We will continue to offer pool sessions in ABQ that will
be free of charge for members of both the AWC and ACA. Stay tuned for more
information.

- Gila support - Continued support of protecting NM's last wild river, the
Gila.

- NM Community Support - Through promoting and participating in Kayak New
Mexico 501(c)3 adaptive volunteer programs and river clean ups, partnering
with the ACA to help improve a few river access points, highlighting changes
in laws that may impact boating, and many other areas.

- Education - Our clinic dates have already been finalized. In addition to
our annual clinics this year, we will offer a Level II - IV Kayak Instructor
Certification with scholarships for AWC members, we will also offer mini
clinics on play boating, canoeing, raft rigging, and SUPing. These events
will be free to our members, with an optional donation to the club. As
always, all membership feeds and money raised are invested directly back
into our community.

- T-Shirts and Stickers are now available - come check them out at our
monthly meetings

Attached is a community calendar for 2016, including key AWC events along
with some other great events in our area. Save the dates on your calendar!

As always, if there is something we should be doing in the NM community,
please reach out to us and volunteer. Our club is made of a vibrant group of
individuals. If each person contributes in one small way, we will have an
incredible community. Small contributions that add up include: being a
greeter at a meeting to welcome people, helping to manage our membership
database, helping to organize our clinics or potluck, presenting, helping to
run a pool session, organizing a trip for families, and whatever else you
can imagine.

Paddle on,

Christine Elyse Mollo

President, Adobe Whitewater Club of New Mexico
