[NMCycling] bike shop sales and such

Hawk's Tri-Cycle is my neighborhood bike shop of choice.
I am not receiving anything in return.
I posted this on my own as I felt the cycling community might be interested.

Uh,

Venerable: ˈvenərəbəl'
adjective
accorded a great deal of respect, especially because of age, wisdom, or
character.

Since I've had my last birthday that starts with a 5; I'm going with
the age thing here.

I've always thought that a sale at a local bike store was of plenty
enough interest to the cycling community that a notice of it is fine on
this list. The secret is, when a shop or someone approached me about
the appropriateness of something they wanted to post to this list, but
it might look like too much personal financial involvement, I've told
them to get someone in our racing community to post an announcement or
recommendation for it. I don't know what Pat's involvement with Hawk's
is, if any at all. If there is and he's gonna make some bucks from
this, I betcha he'll consider a donation to Earl's fund.

Blatant self promotion is not why I started this list some, uh, 15ish
years back now.  But as Hawk [no involvement with Tri-Cycle] points out;
we all wanna support our local bike shops, but we're too cheap to do
that all the time. So when a sale comes up, let others know. Too
incestial? Nah.
