[NMCycling] Heads Up: Day of the Tread on Sunday in the bosque area

 Good morning, 

The 8th Annual Day of the Tread is on Sunday, Oct 26. This multi-distance event goes along the bosque trail from Mountain Road north of Alameda and includes some surrounding surface streets. 

This event also has a lot of families and novice riders. Based on past experiences this can be a challenge to the more experienced  riders and recreational users on the bosque trail as many people don't always get that this is a two-direction, two-lane open trail. 

This is more of a "heads up" to anyone who may be heading this direction on Sunday morning. You may want to avoid the area if you aren't part of the event. And if you are going in that direction, be careful and patient. 

Course marshals will be out there doing their best to keep things safe, but there are many times that they can't catch everything.
