Dear Bike
Racers:
Hope you had a good off season
and the 2015 beginning of season are treating you well. I am writing this e-mail to give you some
information about the upcoming 2015 The Adoption Exchange Classic that is due
to take place on April 11th-12th. The
race is now open for registration @ New Mexico Sports on Line.
The race will run on the same
format from the previous 5 years, Omnium, and the winner @ each category will
be determined by the rider that accumulate the most points over the course of
the 3 events, the road race, the individual TT and the CRIT. Below is a few changes/addition for 2015
edition of the race:
1. For
2015, the road race will take place on Saturday, April 11th, and the
ITT and CRIT will be take place on Sunday, April 12th. The change was made because the CRIT venue
from previous years was not available on April 11th as I have
requested. I am already working to have
the CRIT course back for 2016.
2. For
2015, the CRIT will take place on The Balloon Fiesta grounds. Directions are in the race bible.
3. For
2015, the cash purse has been increased from $1,000.00 dollars total to M&W
P 1/2/3 to $1,700.00 dollars that will include M&W P 1/2/3 & Master Men
45+(2-4).
4. For
2015, the King & Queen of Heartbreak Hill purse has been increase from
$100.00 total to $200.00 dollars total, $100.00 dollars to Men P 1/2/3 winner
and $100.00 to W P/1/2/3 winner. Details
about the King & Queen of Heartbreak Hill in the race bible.
5. For
2015, the race will award $250.00 dollars to any rider in the Men or Women P
1/2/3 field that can win all 3 events, in addition to the cash prize already
offered by the race.
6. Since
the ITT will be taken place on Sunday, April 12th, the winner of the
road race from Saturday, April 11th, on the M & W P 1/2/3 will
be sporting 2015 The Adoption Exchange Classic skinsuit provided by
Castelli. Other categories will be
sporting a Leader’s jersey also provided by Castelli.
7. For
2015, the race will be introducing a Team TT, but it will not count towards the
Omnium. Detail in the race bible.
8. Thanks
to P2M Cycling Studio, the race will be raffling a brand new PowerTap wheel set.
9. Collegiate
racers receive a $10.00 dollars discount on entry fee and no late fee.
10. Save
$10.00 dollars p/rider on registration by registering as a team for the Omnium.
Five riders minimum.
11. Raise $250.00 for the Adoption Exchange and
you will race for free. Details in the
race bible.
12. Thanks to Zoe Fitness, the race will be
providing bottles for neutral feed zone at the top of Heartbreak Hill. It is recommended that you provide your own
feeder if you have special feeding needs.
