Three updates:

* Paradise Boulevard Trail - The trail between Golf Course and west of Unser is complete and the traffic control is removed from the south side of the road. There will be some intermittent work on punch list items so please be careful if the contractor is on-site. We are planning a ribbon cutting for this project on Bike-to-Work day after several of us participate at the morning stations.

* Goff Boulevard - Although the facility was not on the long range bicycle maps, the County believed the roadway provided an important connection. The buffered bike lanes are being striped over the next couple of days (weather permitting) and go from the Isleta/Goff/Arenal intersection north to Tapia. The bike lanes connect to the existing bike lanes on Isleta south of the intersection. Please note that the lanes end just short of Bridge Boulevard as this intersection is part of the Bridge Boulevard Corridor Project (see below) and riders should be prepared to take the lane. The project is still under construction so use caution on the facility.

* Bridge Boulevard Corridor Project - Bernalillo County will be having a public meeting on the Bridge Boulevard Corridor Project. The project boundaries are from 8th Street to Old Coors on Bridge Boulevard and from Old Coors to New Coors on Tower Road. The project will be phased over the next several years and some of the improvements will included upgraded bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The County is also considering the use of cycle tracks in the Bridge/Isleta area where the right-of-way is very limited and the area is very congested.
