This is an odd thing I've noticed over the past couple of months.  Every event I've gone to has had one or multiple people out there taking pictures with high end equipment.  Nobody has publicized that they have pictures.  I'm sure that some people here would be happy to pay for photos if they only knew that they existed and where to get them.
