Huge loss cycling in NM. :(
For me, a role model, patron & friend.
Garnered the respect of everyone he met--a Midas touch!
Will be looking for him at the turnaround.........on that final TT.

> Our cycling community has lost another of its greats with the passing of Bill High this week after a prolonged battle with bladder cancer at the age of 90. Bill, the founder and owner of Concrete Systems and former president and sponsor of Rio Grande Racing Team, was very active in the cycling community for over 30 years. He organized and promoted the Double Eagle Time Trial Series from the 1980s into the 2000s and was involved in the organization of Record Challenge TT and multiple state championship TTs. Through his infinite generosity, for decades he provided his Concrete System warehouse for very popular off season stationary training sessions. Bill was a competitive cyclist into his 80s when a hip fracture sidelined him from further competition, but he still remained an active advocate for the sport.
> Services for William High will be held this Saturday at 10:30 at St. Johns United Methodist Church 2626 Arizona St NE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in William’s honor to Concrete Systems, Inc, Po Box 3625, Albuquerque, NM 87190. All donations will go to bicycle safety education.
