[NMCycling] Oak Leaf MTB Circuit This Sun 7-3

Oak Leaf Classic is coming up Sunday 7-3.  We have set this up to make it convenient for parents of smaller kids/juniors (say 6-13 yrs) to ride the kids course with their kids and then do tha adult circuit afterwards.  So if you have kids of that age, this would be a good one.  Kids will be at 9:30 and grownups and older juniors at 10:30.  Course features some of my favorite trails in the Albuquerque area, with some tight and twisty trails on the adult loop.  The kids/beginner loop will be on easier singletrack, and will be CX bike friendly.  You could ride the adult course on a CX bike but you might want to push about 50ft of downhill and a couple of uphill bits.  I will ride my geared 29er hardtail with a rigid fork.   Both loops are pretty SS friendly.  10:30 group can do either course, some beginners may prefer the easier loop.  Course is at about 7500 ft and is cooler than Burque.    
 
This is an informal event but it will take a little while to set up the course so I feel like there is a minimum of riders to justify messing with it.   I think about 15 is a good number.  So if you can make it out please RSVP by Thursday (7-1) midnight.  If we get fewer riders we will try doing this some other time, maybe even the next Saturday.  RSVP by marking “going” on FB or emailing me directly.  There is no entry but small donations  ($5?) to cover gas and the like would be accepted.  Juniors don't worry about it.  Also it would be nice if riders could help pick up arrows after the finish.
