ABQ CENTURY 2017 -- 04/09/2017

Today is the last day to register before the registration fee becomes $50 ($10 more).

IMPORTANT UPDATES TO  THE ROUTE: 78 Mile riders needed an extra rest stop between Rest Stop 2 and the End. In our last email we added a Rest Stop at the entrance to the Bosque Bike Trail around the turn off on Poco Loco Rd, which runs parallel with Rio Bravo Blvd. We will not be doing that.

Here's what we are doing: 78 and 100 mi rest stop change. The Rio Grande – Bosque - Bike Trail entrance rest stop for the 78 mile riders, and the 100 mile route rest stop 3 are merging into a new rest stop at the North East corner of the Walmart parking lot at Rio Bravo and Coors. Note all que sheets and gps interactive maps on albuquerquecentury.com have been updated.  

For 62 and 78 mile riders who will be using the bike path, it is a concern that in the event of an accident help (EMTS) will have a hard time getting to them. For this reason we are adding two Bike Assists to cover those routes. Note that in the event of a crash a rider, if able, must call Diane Albert, ride operations manager, at 505-235-2277. From there a Bike Assist will be contacted to find the rider and coordinate with EMTS. All riders will be informed that if they witness a crash on the bike path, they should call Diane Albert immediately after initial assesement of rider's injuries.
