Bike racers:

   (1) NMBRA will be offering a USAC Category C Official Class this coming Sunday, January 14th, from 1-5 pm @ Sport Systems located @ 6915 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  NMBRA encourages all teams to have at least one team member enrolled in the class.  Your participation will alleviate the current shortage of USAC Officials in our region.  You must have a USAC license to register for the class, but NMBRA will reimburse the cost of the license as part of the class incentives.  Register here  https://www.usacycling.org/events .  

       NMBRA will provide the following incentives for you to become an USAC Category C Official:  

   After you have taken the class, become an USAC Official and work a minimum of 2 races, Road, Mountain or CX, NMBRA will reimburse you the following:

            (a) Your USAC annual license -  $75.00 dollars value.

            (b) Your USAC first time Official license - $25.00 dollars value.

            (c) Your USAC background check - $25.00 dollars value.

       What a easy way to get your race license for free!!  Also NMRS Director Dennis Chavez will have some additional incentives that will possible add points to your NMRS points series by just officiating some Road races. Detail to come..

   (2) NMBRA will be celebrating 2017 Racing Season by having a party/meeting celebration on January 27th @ Bow  <http://www.bowandarrowbrewing.com/> & Arrow Brewing Company located on 608 McKnight Ave NW 87102, from 5-7 pm.  It's just off of I-40 on 6th street.  South of the interstate. NMBRA will give out one ticket per person, to be spent in any drink you like.  Its our way to say congratulations on your good year of racing.

               During the celebration, @ about 06:00 pm, NMBRA will be holding its annual election.  Please read the NMBRA <http://nmbra.org/>  by laws on who can vote.  Positions for election will be the following: 

              (a) NMBRA President - Current held by Silvio Menezes (me).

              (b) NMBRA Secretary - Current held by Sarah Fair.

              (C) NMBRA Member at Large - Current held by Dennis Chavez, our NMRS Director.
