I want to thank everyone for their advice, suggestions and well wishes, and for sharing their own experiences. I'll be sure to pass along any insights that I gain from this ordeal once the process is complete.


I consider myself very fortunate that, unlike so many other cyclists that've been struck by vehicles, my injuries are not fatal or life-altering. Ride as safely as you can, and don't forget that you can severely injure another cyclist or pedestrian with your bicycle as well. Please, ride your bike around others the way you'd like drivers to drive their cars around you.
