[NMCycling] ARKANSAS (!) adopt Idaho Stop

I find it curious that the video leaves the viewer with the impression that the only advantage of preserving some momentum when entering an intersection is for rider convenience or energy conservation. I would say that, in the case of a safety conscious rider, it is much more a matter of being able to get through the danger zone (the intersection) as quickly as possible, assuming it was safe to enter in the first place, of course. The delay associated with regaining momentum after a complete stop could easily expose the rider to hazards (speeding cars) that weren't present when they decided it was safe to proceed.

IMO, the only safe intersection is an empty intersection.
