[NMCycling] The non-group GROUP RIDE

So, here we go again.

You organize a group ride and give tacit approval of not wearing masks 
and not maintaining distance between riders right up front. You clarify 
that if people are not comfortable with a lack of masks and a lack of 
social distance they "do not have to come." But, you apparently miss the 
whole point that these regulations are there to slow the spread of the 
Covid-19 and they do not work unless the population adopts them. You are 
in effect creating a situation that is prone to spreading the virus.  
Finally, encouraging a group ride where masks will likely not be worn 
fosters an already negative image of bicyclists by motorists, that 
cyclists don't abide by the rules and therefore don't deserve respect on 
the road.
