Christine,
If you haven't already done so, placing a call to 311 and referencing
Street Maintenance is a good idea. This helps keep a record of the
incident.
The Department Municipal Development (DMD) Street Maintenance division has
one vacuum sweeper (15877101) dedicated to bike lanes, and sweeps the bike
lanes every day. The time that it takes to sweep or make a complete loop of
all the bike lanes throughout the city is approximately six (6) months. The
bike lane network gets swept twice per year, which may be delayed depending
on weather or if the sweeper has mechanical issues.
The rotation for the bike lane Sweeping is as follows:
Sweeping starts from the way west side of Albuquerque, beginning at Black
Arroyo St. & Westside, heading to the south covering all the West portion
of the city limits. Sweeping then moves from west to the east covering the
Downtown area.
>From there, the sweeper heads north to Montano using I-25 as a border,
ensuring the area from I-25 west from North to South is swept. The sweeper
then goes from I-25 East to the Foothills (Above Tramway) when that’s
complete DMD sweeps North from the most southern tip, which is Pompano Pl
SE to Florence.
