Howard,
Pacheco Canyon climb, down Winsor twice. Happy to join you. (For one lap). Or La Tierra to Tesuque Peak radio towers exactly equals 6800 ft. Happy birthday. Both are snowy at the top currently.

The full La Mosca Bicicleta ride has 6800' of climbing.  I can send .gpx and cue sheet if interested.

I'm looking for a steady 6,800' climb, preferably dirt.  It's one of those odd birthday goals that attracts some of us once we can't keep up anymore....

I thought Water Canyon from Socorro to the Langmuir Lab would do, but it's a 1,000' short, as is Sandia Summit from the river via Placitas and 165.

I'm not looking for multiple climbs that would total 6,800', rather one climb (some dips along the way are fine).  Any type is fine - single track, jeep, forest service, BLM roads etc.  The less pavement the better.

My time frame is pretty loose so travelling a bit is fine.  Silver Canyon from the Owens River up towards the Patriarch Forest in the White Mountains qualifies, but damn, that's steep!

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Howard Snell
