Dear Cross interested folks, 

Tuesday CX starts 10.4 at Hubble Dam.  Nice course with some deep ungroomed grass, some woody bits, some dirt/gravel roads and some pavement.  Goatheads are an issue this year.  I have tried to sweep (literally with a push broom) the actual course but the parking area is infested and also there will still be a few stray goatheads on the course.  Make sure you have enough fresh sealant in your tires.  Let me repeat: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH FRESH SEALANT IN YOUR TIRES.  

There will be a cyclocross clinic on 10/8/22 at Roosevelt MS in Tijeras just east of Albuquerque. There will a normal beginner clinic as well as an intermediate clinic working on more advanced skills for people who have done some cx races.  Beginner clinic will cover basic bike fit, dismounting, and cornering.  Intermediate clinic will cover more advanced dismounting techniques, bunnyhopping, bike changes, and more advanced cornering.  
Please preregister if you are coming as there is a minimum to make it happen. No entry fee but there is a is a suggested donation of $20. 

The First Old Fashioned CX Series race will be at Capulin on 10/9/22.  Course will be a little mellower than last year as the northern singletrack area needs too much cleaning to use this year.  Still will have a pretty good climb and descent each lap.
