[NMCycling] Thoughts on 32" wheels

Bike Racers,
I have been thinking a little about 32 in wheels. I like the idea, having seen how much nicer 29er wheels are vs 26ers. I would definitely ride a 32 bike if money were no object. I am going to say that they would probably be a little faster on most courses for taller riders. However, we are in kind of a good place now with all race bikes using the same size wheels. You can put road tires on a MTB and MTB tires on road wheels. I am currently using my old carbon MTB wheelset on my gravel/cx/road bike. As far as making racing financially accessible we are doing pretty well with 29/700c wheels. Since we have been on 29ers for several years there is a lot of used equipment floating around for new racers, which is still pretty competitive. Maybe we should restrict races to 29 wheels and let the 32 wheels sit for a few while, let people tool up and work out some of the logistics of suspension and geometry and think about phasing them in maybe 5 years from now.
