Dear Bike Racers:
2018 505 Cycling Classic presented by Car Crafters & Sport Systems is 2 weeks away, right around the corner, coming up on weekend of April 7th-8th in Albuquerque,NM. 2018 race stages and distances will be the same as the previous years with a TT and CRIT on Saturday, April 7th and the RR on Sunday April 8th.
On line registration is now open on USA Cycling web site and it will close on Thursday April 5th @ 11:59 pm. Late registration will take place on Friday April 6th @ Sport Systems where you can also pick up your packets. There will be no day of the race registration, only packet pick up on Saturday and Sunday. You can pick up your registration packets up to 15 minutes before your race starts.
For 2018 the race beneficiary will be APNM, Animal Protection of New Mexico. Since 1979, APNM has been advocating for animals by effecting systemic change, working towards the humane treatment of all animals. This includes active support of local and state legislation towards the prevention of animal cruelty, as well as public awareness campaigns designed to teach students and communities across New Mexico about the ongoing threats to animals.

Ø In addition to the prizes listed above the race will give out the following:
· Gift certificates sponsored by Big Al Cycling Lab.
· Gift basket sponsored by Caruso Cycle Works as a CRIT primes for each category.
· FitBit for the winner of the QOM in the Women 4/5 category in the RR on Sunday sponsored by Caruso Cycle Works. The winner will be determined by points and the racer must finished the RR in order to collect the prize.
FEED
The race will provide neutral feed for all riders @ the top of Heart Break Hill on Sunday RR, sponsored by ZoeFitness. If you have a specific feed needs, the race recommends for you to provide you own feeder.
LEARDER JERSEY
Castelli will provide the leader’s jersey for all riders leading their category after stage 1 & 2. So the winner of stage 1 in each category get to wear the leader’s jersey going into stage 2 and the rider leading the stage race after stage 2 gets to wear the leader’s jersey going into the stage 3.
