PJ or Woody: I have an old (70s-era) but lightly used Gitane road / touring bike, large size steel lugged frame (probably 59 or 60) that I would sell for less than $200. It belonged to my brother, who passed away in 1976. Does not have a lot of miles on it, was well maintained, was always stored indoors all those years. I had maintenance and tune-up done at a LBS back in 2007 and rode it only for a few months for short commuting to work, until I got a racier old Bridgestone steel frame bike that was a bit more fun to ride. I ride a 58 cm frame, but this bike fit me OK, so good for taller folks.

It's a ten-speed with Simplex derrailleurs, stem-mounted shifters and the old suicide brake levers with companion standard drop bar levers. Has chrome fenders on it. Paint and decals are still nice for its age. In good working order. Could use some better tires (the LBS put some thin, cheap tires on that flat easily). Good for a commuter / cruising around bike. Kind of a shame to have it just sitting gathering dust, so I'd love to see it go to someone who could use it and appreciate it. (A bit of sentimental attachment to that bike.)

Woody, I don't know how to contact you off-list (I'm not into racing and not hooked into this community), but either of you can text or call me at 453-4888.
