It is always good to hear about these problems, but could you be more specific about what the Oso Corredor is and where it is located?
I do not ride in Albuquerque often any more, and I am unfamiliar with the common names used by the majority of riders on this list.
Sorry to bother you for clarification on this location.
Be safe out there!

Cheers,
heidi

Subject: Report of Trap on Oso Corredor

Â

Hey all,

Â

The district received a report of a “booby trap” on Oso Corredor that resulted in a rider injuring their elbow. Apparently it was a “boulder covered in brush” which could be nothing but it also could’ve been intentionally set.

Â

If possible please distribute to the trail community as a “watch out”. There have been instances in the past in which this type of thing has happened and resulted in a very serious injury. In some cases it’s an isolated incident and others it’s an ongoing problem. Either way, please keep a look out for anything and know there are a number of methods used in the past so it could take other forms such as wire stretched across trail, etc.

Â

On the law enforcement side, this is a difficult one to deal with unless caught in the act but if you see anything suspicious, please let us know asap.

Â

Thanks,
