If anyone would like current copies of our "Who's Who" booklet with current
contact information of all elected public officials in Bernalillo and
Sandoval counties to distribute to your neighborhood groups, they are
available in the League office from 10 a.m. to noon on weekdays. They can
also be found at local libraries and community centers.

UNM is also holding an event to honor the 100th anniversary of women's right
to vote.

milestone century for women's rights

UNM is joining a national movement to honor the centennial anniversary of
the Nineteenth Amendment, while also spreading awareness of the right to
vote. The UNM Center for the Study of Voting, Elections and Democracy, in
conjunction with the UNM Political Science Department and Institute for
Social Research is hosting Christina Wolbrecht, professor of Political
Science at the University of Notre Dame. Her presentation, titled 'Myth and
Reality: A Century of Votes for Women' is being held Wednesday, Feb. 12 from
6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Willard Room of Zimmerman Library. The event is free
and open to the public.

Please remember that this is a members list serv and if you have information
relating to the league or closely related activities you are welcome to
share it here.

We hope you have a good week and that we will see you on Saturday at Embassy
Suites to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the League of
Women Voters.
