There was no meeting today or this week.  Going forward, the NM PRC will
have weeks with several meetings. The calendar is public for four months.

WHAT THE NM PRC REGULATES:

(it is less than most people perceive)

WHAT THE NM PRC DOES NOT REGULATE

(wireless telephone rates is a key area..also cable/satellite/internet
service providers)

PEAK POWER NEEDS:

Currently PNM has invested in peak power generating equipment which
meets electric needs during warmer/hot weather, usually late April
through late September in afternoons for a few hours.

This is not efficient but is needed as electric power is produced as
needed and not stored.

Storage is changing now and should be in New Mexico in two years or so.
Tesla, the electric car company, is making batteries for use in storing
electric power so that electric needs can be met

without peak power generating systems.  These batteries are going into
Australia by next year and are expected to smooth off demand peaks
