We are sorry to have another Annual Meeting virtually, but large indoor
meeting are still not allowed under state health guidelines. At some point
we will begin meeting again in person, but in the meantime we encourage all
members to get vaccinated.

 

The League of Women Voters of Central New Mexico Annual Meeting is scheduled
for this Saturday, May 1. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. and the
business meeting will begin at 10.  Former U.S. Senator from New Mexico Tom
Udall will be our guest speaker at 11:15. He will talk about his time in the
Senate and what still needs to be done for New Mexico. We hope you will join
us. This is a great chance to see your league friends.

On a personal note, I want to mention how very much I have enjoyed serving
as your co-president for the past three years. It has been a very
enlightening experience and I would encourage everyone to get involved as we
begin work on VOTE411 and the Voter Guide for the municipal elections. This
is the interesting and fun part of being a member and I know you will find
it personally rewarding. I'll look forward to working with you to make sure
the wheels of democracy in New Mexico turn smoothly.
