I put my writing aside for an hour and a half today to listen to
this podcast with Jesse Jenkins, Princeton professor and energy modeler,
and Leah Stokes, professor of political science at UC Santa Barbara.  This
is the best discussion about the Inflation Reduction Bill that I've heard
--- covering (1) the provisions in the bill (2) the negotiations behind the
scenes (3) the modeling of GHG emissions as a result (4) benefits for the
economy and the consumer (5) steps that remain to get it over the finish
line.

U.S. Senator Heinrich was mentioned a couple of times, in addition to
others who played a role in the negotiations.
