At OLÉ, we believe that whether you live in a city or in a rural town in New Mexico, everyone deserves an efficient and inclusive voting process.
 
The New Mexico Voting Rights Act expands voting access to New Mexicans so we can all exercise our right to cast a vote. As we see every day in the news, states all around the country are passing laws that undermine our most basic right to participate in our democracy. These restrictive measures disproportionately impact people of color, tribal communities, students, working families, the elderly, and people living with disabilities.
 
In the face of these restrictive, anti-voter laws passed in other states, it’s time for New Mexico to step up and show the country how democracy can bring us together—not drive us apart. That’s why we’ve joined together with 50 other organizations to support passing the New Mexico Voting Rights Act (SB8), but we can’t do it without your help!  
 
Join us and special guest Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for a virtual rally on Facebook Live Wednesday, February 2nd at 9am to learn more about this critical bill.

En OLÉ, creemos que ya sea que viva en una ciudad o en un pueblo rural de Nuevo México, todos merecen un proceso de votación eficiente e inclusivo.
 
La Ley de Derechos Electorales de Nuevo México amplía el acceso al voto a los nuevos mexicanos para que todos podamos ejercer nuestro derecho a emitir un voto. Como vemos todos los días en las noticias, los estados de todo el país están aprobando leyes que socavan nuestro derecho más básico a participar en nuestra democracia. Estas medidas restrictivas afectan de manera desproporcionada a las personas de color, las comunidades tribales, los estudiantes, las familias trabajadoras, los ancianos y las personas con discapacidades.
 
Frente a estas leyes restrictivas contra los votantes aprobadas en otros estados, es hora de que Nuevo México dé un paso al frente y le muestre al país cómo la democracia puede unirnos, no separarnos. Es por eso que nos hemos unido a otras 50 organizaciones para apoyar la aprobación de la Ley de Derechos Electorales de Nuevo México (SB8), ¡pero no podemos hacerlo sin su ayuda!
 
Únase a nosotros y a la gobernadora invitada especial Michelle Lujan Grisham para una manifestación virtual en Facebook Live el miércoles 2 de febrero a las 9 a.m. para obtener más información sobre este proyecto de ley fundamental.
