Dear LWVCNM members,



The Development Committee has been tasked with raising $25,000 to print the
hard copy of the 2024 *Voter Guide*. Many of you have been faithful donors
in the past,

and we appreciate that very much! However, in trying to keep up with the
times and also to add another tool to our box, we are trying something new.

*We’ll need your help though*!



Our idea is to try “crowdfunding.” We discovered a fundraising platform on
the internet (Zeffy.com) that is designed specifically for non-profits. The
beauty of it is that 100% of each donation comes directly to the
non-profit, in this case LWVCNM. The platform covers all credit card fees
and their costs by asking each donor to also make a *voluntary* donation to
the platform.



*Here's how you can help:* The process is like a chain letter. The first
donor (hopefully you!) forwards an appeal to anyone they think might be
interested in educating voters, i.e., their friends, family, acquaintances,
etc., and asks each of those individuals to not only donate, but also to
forward the appeal to their contacts.
