*The polls are closed today, Monday November 3.*

*Election Day is tomorrow, November 4.*

*Post Election Happy Hour is this* *Thursday, November 6, from 3:30 to 6 pm*
at Bosque Brewing – 106 Girard Blvd. SE – southeast corner of Girard and
Central. It’s time to relax and enjoy each other’s company.



*The* *Drop-In Coffee* is on *November 15* from 10 AM to noon.

*The Book Club meeting date *is on *November 17 *at 5:30.

*The November monthly meeting* is on *November 19* at 5:00.

*The annual LWVCNM holiday party* is on *December 14* from 2 to 4 pm.

*DID YOU KNOW?*

*Sometime on Thursday evening, October 30, *the office building at 6739
Academy, where the LWVCNM office is located, experienced a flooding
incident. The water faucet upstairs near the mailboxes became stuck while
dispensing water. The water eventually broke through the floor and through
the ceiling of the bathrooms in the basement. Water then seeped through all
the rooms in the basement during the night. We became aware of this on
Friday morning. We provided access to our rooms 124 and 126. The
professional cleaning crew then drew water out of the carpets and placed
fans in them overnight. We have not looked at our closet (located across
from the bathrooms) nor at the conference room.


Needless to say, the (usually very tidy) office rooms are in disarray, with
furniture and boxes piled here and there. So please bear with us as we
determine what this means for meetings scheduled in the upcoming weeks. The
basement bathrooms will need ceiling tiles before they are usable.
