[Lwvcnmtopics] LWVCNM - Volunteers Needed for Candidate Forums

*CANDIDATE FORUMS 2025 — LWVCNM Volunteers Needed*



The LWVCNM has been approached to staff several candidate forums for this
year’s Regular Local Election. We need members volunteer to:



            *  MODERATE the forums



            *  serve as TIMEKEEPER for the forums



            *  serve as QUESTION ORGANIZERS for the forums



At this time, the two forums that are planned would be in-person forums so
the LWVCNM volunteers would need to be present in person as well.



Several years ago, we held training sessions for the three forum staff
referenced above. Videos of those training sessions are available upon
request.



The LWVCNM is known for competent, quality forum staffing. We hope our
reputation will continue this year.



If you would like to staff the forums, *PLEASE* let *Forum Coordinator Mary
H Smith directly* as soon as possible if you are willing to volunteer to
moderate, keep time or organize questions.



The *Village of Los Ranchos* wants the LWVCNM to staff a forum for Village
trustee candidates. The Village has identified these dates that work best
for the candidates (preferred dates are highlighted in yellow). The actual
date will be chosen depending on when we can provide our volunteers:



            September 29 - October 2 (Monday-Thursday)

            October 7 - 9 (Tuesday-Thursday)

            October 15 - 16 (Wednesday-Thursday)



*PLEASE VOLUNTEER* for *Los Ranchos* by *Monday, September 15, 2025*



            and



An *Albuquerque* mayoral Meet the Candidates forum is scheduled for
Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 6:00 p.m. -  8:30 p.m. at the New Hope Full
Gospel Baptist Church in Albuquerque.



*PLEASE* *VOLUNTEER* for *ABQ Mayor* by *Monday, September 22, 2025*
