Before I got rid of DirecTV, I had Comcast. I got rid of Comcast because of
poor service and ever increasing prices. I was with DirecTV for about 3
years. The service was fine. The satellite dish worked fine in snow and
rain. My problem was that after the initial 'new customer' discounts
ended, the price began to go up and up. That is why now use an indoor HDTV
antenna to get CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox and PBS, and a Roku Streaming Stick for
all of the free channels it offers and Sling (through my Roku) for ESPN,
ESPN2, AMC, TNT, TBS, History 1/2, Lifetime, CNN, ABC Family, Disney and
quite a few more. My Sling bill is just about $30 per month.
