[Neighbors] Scalo Restaurant, Transfer of Liquor License

Thank you, Prashant, for your email today which I have attached below.

 

On Dec. 5 I  emailed Nob Hill Neighbors and Board of Directors forwarding
the letter regarding application for transfer of the liquor license for
Scalo.

 

When our association is advised of such requests we send them to our
association email list and directors.  If neighbors or directors express
concerns our directors can consider scheduling a special meeting before the
hearing.

Otherwise, the applicant is free to report to the Hearing Officer that they
contacted us and we did not comment as an association.

To date I have received 4 email responses from neighbors, all in support of
the transfer.

I will email you and your agent if I recieve responses in opposition.

 

All members of the community are free to contact the applicant with
questions and provide comments to the Hearing Officer or to comment at the
hearing.

Hi Gary,

My name is Prashant Sawant. My wife Kristie & I are the new owners of Scalo
restaurant in Nob Hill. Sorry to contact you at the 11th hour. I had been
meaning to reach out to you and the Nob Hill Neighborhood Association for a
few days regarding our liquor license application.

 

As you know, we are trying to reopen this iconic restaurant that we all
loved. Our liquor license broker Jerry Hamm provided me your contact so I
could get in touch with your association to see if you had any questions or
concerns about our new business and the liquor license. We would like to
assure you that it is going to be a respectable fine dining Italian
restaurant that will honor and care for the neighborhood and its values. Our
intention is to bring this historic place back to its old glory and perhaps
take it even further. 

 

We would also like to reach out to the community for your advice and
guidance.  Please pass along my contact information below to all your
members and encourage them to contact us to address any questions, concerns,
suggestions, advice, demands and warnings that they may have.
