[Neighbors] Improvements at Morningside Park

You can review the plans in the attached concept document.  The basic ideas that Parks & Recreation Department prepared in response to public requests for safety/security improvements and other suggestions include:

1.       Install fencing and lighting around the two water utility buildings and transformers.

2.       Retrofit four existing light poles in the park with new LED lights.

3.       Construct a small (0.15 acre) dog park in the northeast corner of the park.

Where can I take a look at the plans proposed for Morningside park?  This would be useful information to the Board as public safety is one of the areas they'd like to see improvement in.

Thank you, Dave Simon, for stepping up so aggressively to address our concerns, develop alternative plans, and identify sources for funding the improvements.

To confirm, our Safety Committee will engage interested neighbors, evaluate the alternatives, and recommend one to our board at our March 11 board meeting. There we will collect neighborhood input, and endorse one of the plans.
