Neighborhood Notification
On Saturday, July 20, Route 66 Summerfest returns to Historic Nob Hill.
Event Details
* The event will be from 5-10 p.m.
* The event area will be from Girard to Washington on Central.
* There will be 4 stages of entertainment: The main stage is located
on Central and Girard; the NM jazz Festival Stage is located on Central and
Carlisle; the Kid Zone stage is located on Central and Tulane; and the East
Stage at Sierra and Central.
* The event also features; The Mother Road Art Market, Kid Zone and
Youth Central, Food Trucks, Old Route 66 Car Show, and much more.
* National headliner Magic Giant will take the main stage at 8:30 p.m.
Street Closures
Central will be closed completely from Girard to Washington starting at
midnight on Saturday, July 20 (Friday night). It will remain closed until
approximately 3 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, July 21. Please plan
deliveries accordingly, as they will not be allowed on Central. Any cars
parked on Central will be towed starting at 8 a.m. on July 20.
Due to the large amount of infrastructure that must be set up; the middle
ART lane will be closed on Friday, July 19 between Dartmouth and Bryn Mawr.
This closure will take effect starting at 7 a.m. Regular traffic lanes will
not be affected.
ABQRide
The bus routes will be detoured on Saturday, July 20. Please visit
myABQride.com for schedules and detour information.
Neighborhoods
All streets surrounding the event area will be open as usual. Please be
aware that there will be increased traffic in the area during the event.
Traffic
In an effort to minimize traffic, there will be a Free Park & Ride offered
from UNM's T Lot (University and Lomas) to Johnson Field. There will also be
a free Bike Valet, located at Central and Carlisle.
