Hello Albuquerque,

Each day, people are stepping up for one another during this uncertain
time, in true One Albuquerque spirit. This week I had the opportunity to
thank some of the drivers in our Transit Department for keeping our city
moving and getting folks to critical services like medical appointments or
grocery stores for food. In addition to taking care of our city, they are
taking care of each other by making homemade masks for every driver.

This was just one of the many times that I've seen Burqueños find ways to
come together and help their neighbors and it's times like these that I am
most proud to serve as the mayor of a strong, resilient city full of
selfless people who never stop asking "How can I help?" We must continue to
help each other by staying home when we can.
I want to thank you all again for helping us flatten the curve. Thank you
to everyone who is keeping our city running and taking care of some of our
most vulnerable by providing meals for seniors, caring for the children of
other essential workers and providing safe spaces for those experiencing
homelessness.

We will get through this together, Albuquerque

Mayor Tim Keller

*Mayor Keller Announces 140 Small Businesses in Albuquerque Will Receive
$5,000 in Relief Funding*
*Helping keep local businesses afloat through the pandemic.*
Today Mayor Tim Keller and the City of Albuquerque Economic Development
Department announced 140 local small businesses will be awarded $5,000 in
Coronavirus relief funding to help fill the gaps in federal and state
programs and keep them afloat through the coronavirus pandemic.

As we saw from the number of applicants, the need for support of our
business community is greater. If you would like to help support small
businesses in our city, you can donate at *onealbuquerque.org*

*ABQ RIDE Employees Sewing Hundreds of Face Coverings for Drivers*
*Mayor Keller helped hand out the first batch of face coverings to help
limit the spread of the virus.*
ABQ RIDE has provided fixed route and Sun Van drivers with another tool to
keep themselves and passengers healthy, courtesy of other ABQ RIDE
employees. On April 13, thanks to ABQ RIDE staff members who dedicated time
to sewing face coverings, Mayor Tim Keller and Transit staff were able to
distribute the first batch of face coverings for drivers.

*Dedicated City Staff and Partners Aim to Help Homeless Fight Spread of
COVID-19* *Mayor Keller, Family and Community Services, community partners
provide housing, testing, resources to vulnerable populations.*

24/7 shelter access, coronavirus screening and testing, medical services,
emergency motel vouchers, and targeted outreach to people living in camps
and on the street are just a handful of the ways the Keller administration
and its partners are engaging the homeless community to slow the spread of
coronavirus and help save lives. At today’s daily briefing on coronavirus
response, Mayor Keller was joined by Family and Community Services leaders
and the City’s dedicated Westside Emergency Housing Center Medical Director
Dr. Laura Parajon to highlight efforts to help one of the most vulnerable
populations.

The One Albuquerque Fund has donated $50,000 for motel and housing vouchers
in response to coronavirus. If you would like to help provide housing for
those in need, you can donate at *onealbuquerque.org*
