REAL ID Deadline Extended to October 2021
The deadline to get a Real ID has been extended to October 1, 2021. As well, the state Motor Vehicle Division will not charge late fees for expired licenses and vehicle registrations from Wednesday, March 11 until such time as the MVD reopens its field offices. You can renew your standard driver's license online, but please note that you must apply for a Real ID in person once the MVD field offices reopen. Walk With Ease Program Encourages Self-Directed Walking for Fitness During COVID-19 Social Distancing
Bernalillo County offers a self-directed program called Walk With Ease that encourages residents to use walking paths and even streets in your neighborhoods as a way to get exercise. Self-paced walks three times a week are part of the program, and you can take your dog along too! It is an individual program that allows participants to work on their own at their own pace to increase their physical activity. Spring Green Waste Pick-Up For Residential Solid Waste Customers Starts Monday, May 4
Solid Waste Management will start Spring Green Waste Collection on Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 15. Please have your green waste at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular trash/recycle collection day. All green waste must be placed 5 feet from trash and recycling containers. Green waste such as leaves, grass and brush must be placed in trash bags with each bag weighing 40 pounds or less. Green waste should not be placed in your recycle cart.
