Safety Tips for Outdoor Grilling and Coal Disposal
It's barbecue season, and with people staying home during the ongoing pandemic, more families are grilling and cooking outdoors. Below are some tips for safely handling hot grills and disposing of coals and ashes:

*	Remember that coals can stay hot for days cool them in your grill with the lid closed for at least 48 hours.
*	Never empty coals in your trash or recycle bins
*	After cooling coals and ash in your grill, place them in a metal container with water to fully extinguish them.
*	Don't use galvanized containers for ash disposal as this can cause noxious fumes.
*	Don't put other combustible materials with disposed ash and coals.
*	Keep the metal container with the ashes outside and away from your home or other combustibles.
*	When it's time to dispose of the cooled ashes, bag them in plastic and securely tie the bag before placing in your trash bin.
