       We're all in this
       together. We are One.

Hello Albuquerque,

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, most of us are looking for ways to go
out and enjoy some fresh air. Many people would usually take this time to
meet up with friends and family, but it is important that we continue the
work we have done to slow the spread of coronavirus. That means staying
home as much as you can.

We are fortunate to live in a beautiful city full of open spaces for us to
enjoy, and we encourage people to use those open spaces as a safe place to
get some much needed fresh air. We ask that when you are out in those
spaces, you continue to practice social distancing and stick to your family
unit. We also encourage people who have yards to utilize those so open
spaces will be available for those who don’t.

This Memorial Day is different than years past. Usually, we would be
gathering at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial right here in Albuquerque’s
International District to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice
for our country. Even though we cannot come together this year, we will not
forget the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, along
with their families who have given us so much.

Stay safe. Stay healthy.

Mayor Tim Keller
