[Neighbors] Turtles?

Good morning everyone, 
Does anyone have a pair (male & female) of medium-to-large size turtles that they’d like to sell or give away? Also, is it necessary to provide a turtle habitat, or can they just roam my back yard? I have a veggie garden back there - will they decimate my lettuce etc? Any feedback is appreciated!
