[Neighbors] Water outage?

I, too, had copper-colored water sputtering from my faucets earlier this afternoon during the downpour. I hear what Mark says about ABCWUA not alerting customers about water issues but if NM Gas can issue service disruption notices, so can ABCWUA. It’s not rocket science. I was the one worried about my plumbing but had no warning that this might happen as a result of gas line work blocks away.

Great observation! I work for PNM and have friends and work associates in IT at the water authority. We've talked about this and they've decided not to do it for the time being because their outages work very differently than electrical outages. They tend to be very short-lived, very localized, and can be dealt with in the worst cases just door to door hangers. And I did notice the air in the line this morning and figured that's what had happened. Best, Mark
