[Neighbors] Condition of the Property at Silver and Wellesley

Dear John,
I understand you have a couple of questions about our site and timetable. Regarding our timetable, we have recently moved back into active development mode after period of waiting to see where interest rates would settle. We feel confident now that the bias is downward and so are once again moving forward, finalizing our precise parking plan, unit mix, etc. before we move into construction documents. Our plan is to begin construction in Q1 2025. Rest assured, we continue to develop the culturally sensitive and beautifully landscaped project we presented two years ago. We have no interest in making the building any taller or more obtrusive on the site.

Also, your comment that we don't care about our neighborhood could not be further from the truth. We leveled the site and demolished the houses far earlier than planned to protect our neighbors from the drug-using squatters who were continuing to occupy the premises. Our crews reported the homes being filled with needles and other dangerous illegal drug paraphernalia.

We will give you a more comprehensive report once we begin our construction documents.

Sincerely,
Rex Cohen

Sorry but you do not seem to have any concerns for the neighbors of your property. You talk about how great your properties are in other areas of Albuquerque but it doesn’t seem to be the same for your property in the Nob Hill Neighborhood. We are aware of the plans that you have told us are in the works but you seem to be holding back on anything substantial. As neighbors, many of us are concerned. So I just wanted you to know there are neighbors who are concerned about what is happening to this property and any time schedule, as to us it seems very vague. John Alberty property owner on Wellesley.
