Dear Neighbor,

 

The Air Force will be hosting a virtual and in-person public meeting for the
Kirtland Air Force Base Bulk Fuels Facility project on Thursday, November
21, 2024, at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The
meeting will open with a poster session beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the
meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. The New Mexico Veterans Memorial is located at
1100 Louisiana Blvd SE. 

 

The November 21 public meeting is an opportunity to learn about the work
performed this year and what is planned for the future to address and remove
groundwater contamination caused by a historical leak at the old Base Bulk
Fuels Facility. Air Force environmental experts will be available to explain
clean-up activities and answer questions.
