> You have raised a valid point, especially then saying that if they do not have an event scheduled on Friday and Saturday nights, they would open it up as a bar. That sure is leaving the door wide open. I do not see many events happening at this location. We already have an event center at the Lobo Theater, that also had a restaurant. I don't think that we need another event center in our neighborhood, especially one that looks like it will just become another bar.

> Now looking over the Call Summary for the Library downtown and hearing of the issues in the news at that location, we oppose an extension of that business with the issuance of a liquor license, even as a proposed ?event center? that will be within a block of our residential neighborhood. At the downtown location, with well over 70 calls for APD assistance, we see this as a red flag in what we call the Nob Hill walking neighborhood of college students and families. And, yes most fights do spill out into the sidewalks, but start at a nearby location.

Is the NHNA Board going to have their community meetings there, just so the members can have a drink? Our guess is, not that many events will take place. In fact, it clearly states in the request for the liquor license: ? if the owners can not book private events on Friday and Saturday nights, they have considered opening the event center on those nights only as an upscale lounge?. Nob Hill has some well managed ?upscale lounges? at present; not sure we need another!

As the name implies , this entity provides a moveable feast or catering services. If other catering services wish to serve alcohol and do not have a liquor license, they must ?picnic? a liquor license from a licensee who as part of the ?picnic? process, must provide the liquor and service staff. As a result, the food caterer loses compete control of the event as control is split between the food caterer and the picnic license owner. When the Library Moveable Feast was formed, it consolidated all control with the Library Moveable Feast.

> Furthermore, the applicant is planning on investing money into renovating the space as it makes little sense to provide a nice venue for events if their event center looks like a dump as it currently does. It is the applicants hope that their Nob Hill neighbors will utilize the space for their own events such as corporate events; anniversaries and similar celebrations.

Anything with a letter 'S' following the 10-code (such as 31S) or that says 'onsite' is officer initiated. Most of the 'fight in progress' calls occurred on the sidewalk or in the street in front of the Library and may or may not have been associated with the establishment.
>
> Although the request is for liquor at ?an event? usage business, there is nothing to say that the location will be used as such. How many ?events? will be booked every week/weekend? Is the NHNA Board going to have their community meetings there, just so the members can have a drink? Our guess is, not that many events will take place. In fact, it clearly states in the request for the liquor license: ? if the owners can not book private events on Friday and Saturday nights, they have considered opening the event center on those nights only as an upscale lounge?. Nob Hill has some well managed ?upscale lounges? at present; not sure we need another!

The applicant is an entity named the Library Moveable Feast, LLC which is a separate entity from the Library Bar & Grill albeit with the same ownership.
