My understanding from attending Project Echo, speaking with APD, and
speaking with one of the neighboring businesses:

* Quirky Books is being fined daily via Code Enforcement (hearing was held
within the last month regarding this issue)
* Neighboring businesses - architect, automotive shop, real estate
brokerage have all been negatively impacted by the situation according to
the one business owner that has been actively working on behalf of
businesses on the street. There have been letters / emails sent to Mayor's
office, City Council, etc from these businesses
* According to APD, they have made multiple arrests due to "open air drug
use"
* I believe Quirky Books does have opportunity to get a permit for the
encampment, not sure if that is in process or not?
* This has been going on for at least a year is my understanding

Hope this information helps. Chris
