Dear Ms. Ensey,
We are deeply grateful for the efforts of Steven Moffson in fostering the listing of University Heights as a historic district in the NM Register of Cultural Places. This listing comes on top of the listings he fostered of the 1925 Granada Heights district and 1945 Broadmoor Addition district in Nob Hill. We are grateful for the help he got from Matt Saionz who also does a terrific job managing the NM tax credit program.
Thank you for the importance you place on the listing of resources in the New Mexico Register. Listing districts fosters awareness of historic character of houses in their boundaries and associated actions to preserve their character; purchase of NM Register plaques, participation in the NM 50% tax credit program, and investment in preservation and renovation of contributing houses. No doubt, University Heights will benefit in these ways.
Kind regards,
Gary Eyster, President
